Rites Conducted for Boerjan, St. Ansgar

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Funeral rites were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church for August Boerjan who died unexpectedly on Saturday at his home here.

He was born on May 12, 1872, in Lambecke, Belgium. He has lived on a farm in this community for many years, retiring to St. Ansgar in 1951.

Survivors include his invalid wife and seven children, Mrs. Mel Taets and Frank of Osage, Mrs. Abel Heitland of Rockford, and George, Ben, John, and Henry, of St. Ansgar, one sister and two brothers.

Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
