Osage Woman's Burns Fatal

OSAGE, IOWA — Miss Pearl Powers a retired music teacher, died Sunday in a hospital here of burns suffered Saturday.

Miss Powers was burned when her clothing caught fire at her farm home near here Saturday. Authorities said as she reaches across a gas flame on a stove, her sweater ignited.

Private funeral services were to be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Champion funeral home here, with burial in the Osage Cemetery.

She is suvived by a sister, Miss Edith Powers, with who she made her home.
