OSAGE, IOWA -- Theron Churness, 52, died Saturday evening after suffering a heart attack. Funeral rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Champion Funeral Home, with burial in the Osage Cemetery.

Born in June 1906 at Ferryville, Wisconsin, to Elmer and Mary Churness, he came as a child to Osage. He was engaged as a farm laborer, and as a plasterer.

His only survivors include his father, and a brother, Earl. They all had been living together. A brother, Gerald, a sister Amber, and his mother preceded him in death. He was never married.
