Funeral services were held Monday, September 19, 1988 at Mona Lutheran Church, Mona, for Philip A. Church, age 4, rural Osage. He died Friday, Sept. 16, 1988 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage of injuries sustained in an accident at his home. The Rev. Gaylord Grant, pastor, and Rev. einar Unseth of Faith Lutheran Church, London, Minnesota, officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona.

He was born in Osage on July 15, 1984 the son of Dean and Lianna (Jahr) Church.

Survivors include his parents, Dean and Lianna; two sisters, Sarah and Elizabeth; and one brother, Joshua, all at home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Church of Stacyville; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Johnson, rural St. Ansgar; and a paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Joseph Simon of Stacyville.
