Anderson, Nora Adeline (nee Gordon) 1901-1988

Nora Adeline (Gordon) Anderson Funeral services were held Thursday, October 6, 1988 at Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter, for Nora Adeline Anderson, age 86. Rev. E.C. Franke officiated and burial was in Deer Creek Cemetery.

Nora Adeline Anderson was born October 25, 1901 in Worth County, Iowa to Ole and Nellie Johnson Gordon. She graduated from Carpenter High School, Carpenter. She taught country schools in Worth County and later taught in Grafton and Carpenter.

On September 30, 1934 she married Anton Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter and belonged to E.L.C.W. She was also a member of the Martha Circle and Friendship Club.

Mrs. Anderson died October 3, 1988 in Mason City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson; one sister and three brothers.

Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Schabacker of Rock Falls; two brothers, Roy and Lynn Gordon both of Carpenter; six sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Olga) Hulshizer of Northwood, Iowa, Mrs. Warren (Gladys) Hulshizer of Northwood, Mrs. Carl (Alice) Olson of Bolivar, Missouri, Mrs. Rex (Claice) Arnold of North Platte, Nebraska, Mrs. Ruth Stickfort of Emmons, Minnesota, Mrs. LaVern (Olive) Purdy of Alden, Minnesota; and by one grandson.
