ST. ANSGAR — Barbara J. Dohler, 62, of St. Ansgar died Friday (March 24, 2006) at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Ansgar United Methodist Church in St. Ansgar with the Rev. Jay Amundson and the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Ansgar Cemetery in St. Ansgar.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m on Monday at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School St., St. Ansgar.

Barbara Jean (McNutt) Dohler was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Millard B. McNutt of St. Ansgar. She was born on April 23, 1943, at Sibley, Iowa.

She married Royal E. Dohler, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dohler of St. Ansgar, in 1961, at the St. Ansgar Methodist Church; the Rev. Lloyd E. Brockmeyer officiated at the marriage.

Barbara died on March 24, 2006 at Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral services were held on March 28, 2006 at United Methodist Church in St. Ansgar. Burial was in the St. Ansgar City Cemetery.

Barbara Jean Dohler, 62, passed away on March 24, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN.

A celebration of her life was held March 28th, at the United Methodist Church, 501 W 4th Street, St. Ansgar, with ministers Jay Amundson and Lloyd Brockmeyer officiating.

Barbara was born April 23, 1943, in Sibley, Iowa. Her family moved to St. Ansgar in 1950. She graduated from STA Community High School in 1961. She was united in marriage to Royal Dohler which they recently celebrated their 45th anniversary.

Barbara spent many years working for the Cedar Valley Credit Union and at Acorn Park Golf Course as clubhouse manager. She enjoyed volunteering her time as a 4-H leader and Sunday school teacher. Her greatest joys were cooking and entertaining for family and friends, and more recently spending precious time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Royal Dohler of St. Ansgar; 3 children, Dawn Dohler of Iowa City, Iowa, Tracy Stenseth and husband Eric of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Carmen Groe and husband Barry of Livonia, Mi.; 4 grandchildren, Logan, Kendall, Emma, and Zachary.
