Berniece Kraus

OSAGE, IOWA — Mrs. Robert (Berniece) Kraus, 74, of Osage, died Tuesday (May 14, 1985) at the Osage hospital; funeral services will be held at noon Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here, with the Rev. Leon Connolly officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville.

She was born March 19, 1911 at New Haven, Mitchell county, Iowa, the daughter of John and Josephine (Pox) Miller. She attended New Haven area schools and was married to Robert Kraus on May 24, 1945 at St. Peter's Church, New Haven. They lived and farmed in the Stacyville area until 1977 when they moved to Osage. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Ladies Guild at Osage.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the Champion Funeral Home here, where a rosary will be said at 8:30 tonight.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; one daughter, Jane Helvick, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sons, Ronald of Waterloo, and Donald, Elgin, Illinois; two sisters, Lucille Klemesrud, Osage, and Vera Mauser, Osage; and four grandchildren.
