RICEVILLE, IOWA - Carl Kubicek, 85, of Riceville, died Wednesday (May 14, 1997) at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Riceville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Lovejoy officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home.

Carl Kubicek was born December 23, 1911, in Elma, Howard county, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Merle, of Riceville; two daughters, Linda Harvey of Champaign, Ill., and Carol Erickson of Indianapolis, Ind.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and seven brothers.
