OSAGE, IOWA - Gunda S. McLean, 92, of Osage, died on Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at the Faith Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Champion Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Gunda S. McLean was born on December 26, 1904, in the Meroa area of rural Floyd County.

Survivors include one son, Dr. Harvard McLean of Oxford, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

Gunda Sadie Klemesrud was born December 26, 1904 at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa to Herman Syversen Klemesrud and Inger Marie Rustad, the first of their two daughters.

Sadie married Robert Wilbur McLean on October 9, 1928 at Mitchell County, Iowa. The couple had 1 son.

Found in the 1930, 1940 censuses at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa:

1930: R. Wilbur Mc Lean 27, Gunda S. Mc Lean 25, Harvard W. Mc Lean 2 mos.

1940: Robert W. McLean 37, Gunda S. McLean 35, Howard W. McLean 10.

Sadie McLean died March 25, 1997 at Oxford, Butler, Ohio and is buried at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
