Wilfred John Koenigs

STACYVILLE, IOWA - Wilfred John Koenigs, 76, of 106 Green St., died on Thursday, February 13, 1997, at Stacyville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Visitation Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at Visitation Church Hall with a 3 p.m. rosary and an 8 p.m. Scripture service. Hatten Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Wilfred John Koenigs was born May 30, 1920, in Meyer, Mitchell County, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Koenigs, Stacyville; one daughter, Mary Medinnus, Adams, Minnesota; one son, Joseph Koenigs of Osage; three grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Goergen, Adams, Minnesota, and Sister Cortona, OSF, Dubuque; and two brothers, Joseph C. Koenigs, Adams, Minnesota, and Al P. Koenigs, Stacyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
