OSAGE, IOWA - Eldon D. Amy, age 67, of Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, died on Tuesday, January 28, 1997, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Champion Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Newland officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery with graveside military rites by American Legion Post 278 of Osage. Visitation will begin after 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Champion Funeral Home.

Eldon D. Amy was born June 29, 1929, at Nora Springs.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Osage; four daughters, Janice Matthews of Tucson, Ariz.; Jane Schmidt and her husband, Rick, of Augusta, Wis.; Jenell Wadd of Nashua, and Josephine Roe of Floyd; one son, David Tillotson of Osage; two sisters, Ruth Decker of Nashua, and Florence Tireman, Osage; one brother, Bill Amy, Lake Isabella, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and sisters, one grandson and one great-grandson.
