OSAGE, IOWA -- Leslie V. Tibbits, 92, of Osage, died Wednesday (Jan. 1, 1997) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Champion Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

He was born May 27, 1904, in rural Osage.

Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Bly of Osage; two sons, Wayne Tibbets, Evansdale, and John Tibbits of Bloomington, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and three sisters.
