Mary Affeldt

RICEVILLE, IOWA - Mary Affeldt, 80, of Riceville, died Thursday (Jan. 16, 1997) at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Elma.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Matthew Versemann officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

Mary Affeldt was born Nov. 10, 1916, in Fillmore County, Minn.

Survivors include three daughters, Edith Asfahl and Jane Groth, both of Riceville, and Margie Hunt of Millsap, Texas; two sons, Louis of Destrahan, La., and Philip of State Center; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rebecca Alexander of Spring Valley, Minn., and Louise Hendrickson of Lime Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
