RICEVILLE, IOWA — Gary M. Duffy, 65, of Riceville, died on Saturday, November 27, 2004, at his home. There will be no visitation and there may be services held at a later date. His cremains will be buried in Riverside Cemetery at Riceville.

Funeral arrangements are by Conway Funeral Home.

RICEVILLE, IOWA - Gary M. Duffy, 65, of Riceville, died Saturday, November 27, 2004, at his home. There will be no visitation and there may be services held at a later date. His cremains will be buried in Riceville Cemetery in Riceville. Conway Funeral Home in Riceville is in charge of arrangements.

Gary Martin Duffy was born on August 10, 1939, in Riceville, the son of Charles M. and Goldie** (Martin) Duffy. He attended Riceville schools and after his father took the four younger children with him to California, he finished his education.

Gary returned to Riceville and entered the Army on June 29, 1962, in Des Moines. He spent a little over two years overseas, stationed in Germany, where he was united in marriage to Ursula Ronstadt, a German girl. They were later divorced. Gary was discharged on June 17, 1965, and returned to Riceville to live. Gary spent the remainder of his working life as a trucker, an occupation he learned while in the service. He loved to play pool and cards.

Gary is survived by one daughter, Ursula Wightman, of Salem, Wisconsin; one granddaughter, Nicole Wightman, of Salem; one brother, LeRoy (Lorraine) Duffy, of Charles City; and two sisters, Donna McFarland, of Willard, Wiscconsin, and Dorothy Sanchez, of Freemont, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert; and one sister, Patricia Ruiz. Memorials may be sent to Donna McFarland, W. 7983 Co. Hwy. G., Willard, WI 54493.
