OSAGE, IOWA — Curt W. Rosendahl, 75, of Osage, died Monday (April 12, 2004) at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Curt was born Dec. 24, 1928, the son of Elmer and Hildegard (Tieskotter) Rosendahl. He attended schools in Decorah and graduated from Decorah High School.
He was united in marriage to Norma Jean Gilbertson on Oct. 15, 1950, in Decorah.
They made their home in the Decorah area until 1967, and then moved to Osage. Curt retired from the Des Moines Register.
He enjoyed golf, coaching Little League baseball, bowling, and was an active supporter of the Osage Drum and Bugle Corps.
Curt’s ability to talk to anyone and everybody will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Hanson and the Rev. Roy Ott, officiating. Interment will be in the Osage Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, and will continue one hour before the service on Thursday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Rosendahl, of Osage; two daughters, Diane Brown (Rob) of Rochester, Minn., and Lori Fox (Terry) of Peyton, Colo.; one son, Jim Rosendahl (Marcia) of Osage; one son-in-law, Mark Kelm, of Rochester; five grandchildren, Megan, Lars, and Hakkon Rosendahl, and Cody and Willow Fox; one stepgrandson, Greg Kelm; two sisters, Lavonne Brown and special friend, Gordon, of Cedar Rapids, and Lynette Ellefson (Paul) of Mesa, Ariz.
He was preceded by his parents; and one daughter, Barb Kelm.
