JAMES M. WOMACK

RICEVILLE — James M. Womack, 89, of Riceville, died Wednesday (April 7, 2004) at the Mitchell County Regional Hospital in Osage after suffering an apparent heart attack.

James was born on May 31, 1914, near Elma, the son of Pearl and Olive (Wilden) Womack. He was united in marriage to Gertrude Gansen on Feb. 15, 1938, at Elma.

He is survived by his children, Mary Elizabeth (Warren) Wagner, of Dysart, Shirley Jean Venz (significant other, Dale Dadder) of St. James City, Fla. and James Ambrose Womack (friend, Mike Wilson), of Bertram; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife on May 19, 2003; and one granddaughter.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in the Riverside Cemetery, both in Riceville.

Friends may call from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Conway Funeral Home in Riceville.
