CHARLES H. RICHARDSON
RICEVILLE, IOWA — Charles H. Richardson, 94, of Riceville, died Thursday (March 25, 2004) at the Riceville Community Rest Home, in Riceville, of natural causes.
Charles was born on June 17, 1909, in Elma, Iowa, the son of James Francis and Amanda Mary (Weakland) Richardson.
On October 17, 1933, he was united in marriage to Cecelia O’Brien in Elma. To this union four children were born, Irene, Leland, DeLores and William.
He is survived by two children, Irene (Dale) Anderlik, of Riceville, and William (Susan) of Hayfield, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Loretta Gansen, of Lime Springs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia, in 1992; a son, Leland C., in 1999; a daughter, DeLores Stiver, in 2000; an infant grandson, De-land Richardson; two brothers, Arthur and Raymond; and one infant sister, Catherine Richardson.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, both in Riceville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Conway Funeral Home in Riceville, with a 5 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary and a 7 p.m. scripture service.
