OSAGE, IOWA — Marie E. “Mim” Johnson, 82, of Osage, died Tuesday (Oct. 7, 2003) at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Champion–Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Rev. Dennis Hanson and Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Interment will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery, rural Osage. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mim was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Cedar Township, Mitchell County, the daughter of Ole J. and Marie (Beagles) Johnson. She was educated in the Dudley Country School. Mim was confirmed in 1943 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage. She was employ-ed at the Pantry and the Snack Shop in Osage. Mim was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and her circle in Osage. She made Afghans for all her nieces and nephews and their children. One of Mim’s favorite things to do was to work on puzzles.
She is survived by two sisters, Olive Borchardt (Raymond) of Osage, Lola Brandau of St. Ansgar; one brother, Louis Johnson (Alice) of Rudd; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mim was preceded in death by her parents.
