Mary Ellen Dillage was born at New Haven, Iowa, February 5, 1882, and died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Dillage in Osage, April 5, 1906.
On account of failing health resulting from consumption, she was brought here last January for medical treatment but death finally conquered over all loving efforts to prolong her life.
Besides the parents, six brothers and four sisters, a husband and four chldren, one boy and three girls, remain to mourn the sad ending of a loving daughter, affectionate wife and mother.
In 1898, Mary Dillage was married to Israel Cross at Alta Vista, since which time they have made their home on a farm in Floyd county.
The funeral occurred last Saturday, April 7, 1906, at Sacred Heart church, Rev.Father Martin officiating; burial following in the Catholic cemetery.
