RICEVILLE, IOWA - Jason James Parcel, 27, of Mason City, and formerly of Riceville, passed away Thursday (Feb. 27, 2003) in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville with the Rev. Michael Parris officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Riceville.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.

Jason was born in Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, on May 30, 1975, to James and Sharon (Rosenberg) Parcel. He attended Riceville Schools and graduated from Riceville Community High School in 1994.

Jason was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville.

He enjoyed his family, music and playing his guitar.

Jason was employed at Murphy's USA in Mason City and enjoyed meeting the many people.

Jason will be sadly missed by his parents, James and Sharon Parcel of Riceville; a son, Trae Dozark, of Riceville; two sisters, Michelle Rush and her husband, Kelly, of Mason City, and Melanie Ostrander, of Jewell; his nieces, Taia Saltou, Danielle and Mariah Ostrander, and Kaitlyn and Kourtney Rush.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and Arlene Rosenberg and Glen and Leona Parcel.
