EIDNESS.

Oscar Severin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Eidness was born in Rock Creek, August 8, 1891, and died February 18, 1904. The funeral services were held in the Rock Creek church Saturday, February 20th.

A large gathering of friends and neighbors came to express their sympathy with the sorrowing family. The death of a child is always a great loss to its parents. All parents who are parents indeed, having a feeling heart-love for their children, the children are more dear to them than any thing they possess on earth outside of them. The death of a child is furthermore a loss to its parents, because on it are staked their hopes. Who could then wonder that the death of a child should cause the most acute grief to the hearts of its parents when the hopes are suddenly wiped away by the icy hand of death. Still Christian parents do not mourn as those who have no hope. They know they shall leave an evil wicked world and enter a happy blissful life.
