OSAGE, IOWA - Eileen Agnes Lincke, 81, of Osage, died Wednesday (Nov. 26, 2008) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center-Hospice Unit in Osage.

She was born on December 1, 1926, at home in Stacyville, the daughter of Hubert and Laura (Kramer) Puettmann. She attended school in Stacyville.

Eileen married Norman Lincke on October 9, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage and had celebrated 60 years of marriage together. She was employed in her earlier years in child care and housekeeping for Margaret Leonard. She later went on to work as an egg candler until she left to care full-time for her family. Eileen was a long-time member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, dancing, playing cards, gardening, coffee parties, chatting on the phone with friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will in the Osage Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, where there will be a rosary at 4:30 p.m.

Eileen is survived by two daughters, Donna Rae Adams (and life partner Rex Ratliff) of Hampton, and Claudia Ann (Larry) Lacour of Osage; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred Puettmann of Austin, Minn., and Wilbur (Mary) Puettmann of Little Cedar; two sisters, Bernice Valley of Altoona, and Ramona Sauer of Northville, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by husband, Norman Lincke, in 2006.
