OSAGE, IOWA - Florence "Flo" Tireman, age 82, of Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.

In accordance with her wishes, Florence's body was cremated. Graveside inurnment services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Osage Cemetery with Pastor Tom Miles officiating.

A gathering of family and friends for lunch and fellowship will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Osage American Legion Hall, 504 Main St., Osage.

Florence Tireman

Florence "Flo" Tireman, age 82, of Osage, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage. To her wishes, Florence was cremated. Inurnment services were held at an earlier date. A gathering of family and friends for lunch and fellowship will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Osage American Legion Hall, 504 Main Street, Osage.

Florence was born August 20, 1926, in Mitchell County, the daughter of Eldon and Nora (Hillborn) Amy. She was united in marriage to Howard Tireman on April 30, 1949. Flo enjoyed working in the bakery at Larsen's Jack and Jill. She was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary. Flo loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to travel and will always be remembered as a great cook.

Florence is survived by her son, Phil Tireman of Mason City; a brother, William Amy of California; five grandchildren, Michael (Gina) Tireman of Olathe, Kansas, Timothy Tireman of Mason City, Carolyn (William) Eliason of Mason City, David (Nina) Tireman of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, Daniel Virnala of Osage; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and friends, Doug and Sue Virnala; and Elaine Kew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and many brothers and sisters.
