Luanna Margaret Duenow, age 79, of Montgomery, Minnesota, died on May 10, 2008 after an 11 month battle with cancer.

She was born in Mason City, Iowa, to Walter and Lu Moen on October 8, 1928. She moved to St. Ansgar, Iowa, as a junior in high school. There she married Merlyn Duenow on August 9, 1946. They were married for 61 1/2 years.

She is survived by her husband and four children: Tom (Judy) Duenow, Mark (Cindy) Duenow, Susan (Kim) Schumann, and Brad (Sheila) Duenow, and by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Duenow as well as ten grandchildren: Jennifer, Martin, Amber, Nathan, Becky, Luke, Josh, Mandy, Julia and Dillon, by seven great-grandchildren, and by a brother, Bob.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Rob and Jeff, by a daughter, Cindy, by her parents, and by brothers, Albert and Wayne.

Funeral services were held at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery, Minnesota on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.

Interment was in St. Ansgar City Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Mitchell county, Iowa.
