Ella Pillsbury, daughter of William and Eliza Pillsbury, was born January 26, 1859 at Omro, Wis. and passed away at her home in McIntire, Iowa, at 3:00 p.m. Sept. 17, 1943, after a lingering illness.

She had reached the age of 84 years, 7 months, and 22 days.

In her early youth she moved with her parents to Bailey, Iowa where she spent her entire life, until moving to McIntire in 1940.

In 1877 she was united in marriage to James Hutson, and to this union two sons were born, Alva and William. Alva and his father precede her in death, but William made his home with his mother and cared for her.

In 1895 she was united in marriage to John Henderson, who passed away July 31, 1917. To this union two sons were born- Clyde of LeRoy, Minn. and T. Sgt. Lawrence K. Henderson, of Coolidge, Ariz. Besides her three sons, she leaves 11 grandchildren to mourn her death.

Mrs. Henderson was a charter member of the McIntire Baptist church. She was a kind and devoted mother, and loved by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held at the McIntire Baptist church on Monday, September 20, at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Olsen in charge and burial was in the Wayne cemetery.

Her son, T. Sgt. Lawrence K. Henderson arrived from Arizona Monday in time to attend the last rites.
