CLELL EMERSON OF LITTLE CEDAR, IOWA, DIES
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for a lifelong resident of Mitchell county, Clell Emerson, 59, who died last Wednesday,(Feb. 1963) at his home.
The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer was in charge of the services at the Little Cedar Methodist Church; burial was in the Little Cedar cemetery.
Clell Sylvester Emerson was born in the David community on August 13, 1903, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Sylvester Emerson. He attended various schools in the county, playing in the band and orchestra as a student. He also attended Cedar Valley seminary in Osage and was a lifelong member of the Methodist church.
He was united in marriage to Sara Jensen at the Methodist church in Charles City, Iowa, on January 1, 1939. They established their home on a farm near Little Cedar.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Sara; one son, LeMar; two grandchildren, all of Little Cedar, Iowa.
