Howard Carson Hveem, 65, of Cedar Falls, Iowa died Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at the Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls of heart complications. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 9th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the AMVETS Post 49, 20th & Irving Street, Cedar Falls, Iowa. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with the arrangements.
Howard was born February 8, 1942, in Osage, Iowa, to Hans and Joyce Hveem. He graduated Osage High School in 1960 and joined the US Army. He worked in New York City and farmed in Mitchell County before working in sales for Bearing Distributors Inc in Waterloo prior to his retirement in 2000.
Howard was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls and the Cedar Falls AMVETS.
Survivors include his sister Marcia D. (William) Dedic of Waterloo and a brother Gary N. (Francis) Hveem of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
His parents and a niece, Stephanie, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice in Howard's name.
