A Mass of Christian Burial for Ardella Olson, 92, of Osage, Iowa, was held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, September 21, 2007, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage.

Burial was in the Osage city Cemetery. Ardella died Sunday, September 16, 2007, at the Manly Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Manly, Iowa.

Ardella was born on February 6, 1915, at New Haven, Iowa, the daughter of John and Susan (Kasel) Weinschenk. She graduated from Osage High School with a teaching certificate, after which she taught for many years in rural schools in the area.

Ardella married Clayton Olson on October 11, 1940, at New Haven. They lived in Osage for their entire married life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Clayton Olson; and by three sisters and two brothers.

Ardella is survived by her children: Laurie Olson of Howard Lake, Minnesota; LaJean Olson of Carroll, Iowa; Eric Olson of Osage; Eve Kenny of Osage; by five grandchildren: Zach Akers, Claire Akers, McCabe Kenny, Connell Kenny, and Kirsten Olson.
