JENNISON

Last Friday Mrs. S. B. Jennison was called home after an illness contracted while in the west nursing her son.

The funeral took place Sunday very quietly, as the nature of the disease seemed to make it inadvisable to allow many to be present.

Marlette D. Bullard was born July 4, 1834 at Swanton, Vermont, where she was married May 22, 1860, to Sanford Jennison. They have four children, Carrie, (Mrs Albert Smith of Omaha, Nebraska,) Julia, Mabel and Morton.

We have not the date they came to this county, but for many years they have been residents of this county, living near McIntire and in Osage.
Her character was that of a loving companion and devoted mother. Her closing days illustrated her self sacraficing life.

When word came that Mort was sick last fall, she hastened to his bedside that she might fight off the grim destroyer and succeeded, only to fall herself, a victim to his power.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."

Her days of sorrow and pain are over. She has passed on but love pictures her waiting for her loved ones off the other shore.
