Geraldine M. Foster, age 83, of Riceville, Iowa, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Riceville Community Rest Home. Funeral Services were held on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville, Iowa. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Geraldine was born on February 28, 1924, the daughter of Thomas and Anna Kapka House, in Riceville, Iowa. She attended local schools and graduated from Riceville High School. "Jerry" and her sister, Nadine, were very fond of their step-father, Frank Reckner.

She married Loyd Foster on April 18, 1944 in Riceville. To this union four sons were born: Dean, Donald, Lee and Gary.

Jerry is survived by her husband, Loyd of Riceville; by four sons: Dean and his wife Norma Foster of Riceville, Don and his wife Debra Foster of Greene, Iowa, Lee and his wife Jean Foster of Riceville, and Gary and his wife Janice Foster of Riceville; by 15 grandchildren; and by a sister, Nadine (Harlan) Noble of Riceville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her step-father, Frank Reckner, by one grandson, and by one daughter-in-law.
