Martin Meehan Died
at M. Moran Home
After Long Illness.

Martin Meehan passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mike Moran last Thursday, December 7 after an illness of two months.

Mr.Meehan had spent the past eight years here in Osage,and had a wide circle of friends who will regret his passing.

He was born seventy years ago to Martin and Anna Meehan. The family came to this county sixty years ago and settled on a farm in the vicinity of Adams, Minn., where he remained until he came to Osage to spend his declining years.

His principal interests in life were his farming activities and his church. He was a devout Catholic and took his part in church affairs.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Farther Martin and a number of his neighbors and friends from the Adams vicinity and the Catholic Foresters lodge of that place were in attendance.

Burial was made in St. Patrick's cemetery on the upper Wapsie.

Surviving are his sisters, Mrs. Moran and Mrs Ann Murray the latter of whom also lives with the Morans.
