Mary E. Nation, age 55, of Osage, Iowa, and formerly of Stewartville, Minn. died Saturday, March 3, 2007 after a lengthy illness at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa.

Services for Mary will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Stewartville, Minn. Rev. Curly Werth and Rev. Darrell Mohler of Victory Baptist Church in Rochester, Minn., will officiate with burial following in Union Cemetery in Pleasant Grove, Minn.

Mary was born August 18, 1951 at the family farm-house in rural Stewartville, Minnesota, the daughter of Arthur and Beverly Noble. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in and graduated from Stewartville High School.

Mary E. Noble was married May 7, 1994 in Stewartville, to Arnold L. Nation.

She is a former employee of both the Stewartville Care Center and Lake Center Industries in Stewartville.

Following their marriage the Nations lived in Leroy, Minn., before moving to Osage, Iowa in 2004. Mrs. Nation worked at Hormel in Austin until retiring due to her illness. Mr. Nation retired after serving 26 years in the U.S. Army. She enjoyed baking, cross-stitching, textile painting, reading and spending time with her family. Mary was a member of Christian Missionary and Alliance Church in Osage.

She is preceded in death by her mother Mildred and a niece.

Suvivors include her husband, parents, Arthur (Beverly) Noble of Stewartville, Minn., children: Sharon (Dan) Preuss of Racine, Minn., Darend Yetter of Rochester, Minn.; Darwin (Sarah) Yetter of Racine, Minn.; Sharlyn (David) Braun of Elgin, Minn.; Daniel Nation of Osage, Iowa; Terri Lansing of Stewartville, Minn.; Kurt (Susie Nation of Portland, Oregon; 10 grandchildren and one great grandson; brothers; three sisters -LaDonna (Larry Buxion of Albany, Wis.; Beverly (Daniel Day of Dandridge, Tenn.; Nancy (Gerald) Ramlet of Nevis, Minn.

Griffin-Gray Funeral Home, Stewartville, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.
