WATERLOO, IOWA-- William J. "Bill" Green, age 71, of Waterloo died Friday, December 29, 2006 at Covenant Medical Center from complications of a lengthy illness. His body was cremated.

William was born February 3, 1935 at Osage, Iowa to Paul F. and Marjorie T. Weinschenk. He married Sharon Lee Ewy on March 19, 1962 in Osage, Iowa. He worked for John Deere for 30 years and was involved in the "Moving Gang Dept." retiring in 1988. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Preceding William in death were his father and a brother Marshall "Snerd" Green.

His survivors include his wife Sharon Green of Waterloo, two sons Scott of Waterloo and Craig (Janice) Green of Austin, Minnesota; a daughter Chris (Mike) Padden of Waterloo; seven grandchildren Travis, Zach and Destiny, Kyler, Easton, Nikolas and Madison; mother Marjorie Green of Osage; three sisters Donna (Pete) Kubicek, Helen (Al) Rogers, all of Osage and Sue (Floyd) Gouchee, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
