STACYVILLE, IOWA - Albina Wolf, 93, of Stacyville, died on Friday, September 29, 2006 at the Stacvyille Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006, at Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, with Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery.

Albina Wolf was born December 6, 1912, in Lonsdale, Minnesota, to Frank and Albina Franek Bastyr. She attended high school in Faribault and graduated from Austin High School. Albina married Ralph J. Wolf of Stacyville on August 31, 1936, in Austin. She worked at Hormel's in Austin before her marriage and assisted Ralph at his insurance, bookkeeping, and real estate office after they moved to Stacyville in 1948.

In 1964 they moved to Mason City, and Albina became a stay-at-home mom and an avid fan of her sons' many baseball and basketball games. In 1970 Ralph and Albina moved to Florida where Albina developed interests in flower gardening and golfing. They returned to Mason City in 1986. The last years of her life she was a resident of the Stacyville Community Nursing Home. Albina will be remembered by her family with the motto she lived by: "Life is what you make it."

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Ralph J. Wolf, son Paul in January of 2006, son John in infancy, a grandson in infancy, brother Robert Bastyr, and sisters Mary Peroutka, Helen Wehner, and Martha Lynch.

Albina is survived by her children: Mary (John) Christoffersen of Gainesville, Florida; Judy (Keith) Ramker of Leesburg, Florida; Tom (Ann) Wolf of Sheffield, Iowa; Ralph A. (Audrey) Wolf of Mason City, Iowa; Rich (Mary) Wolf of Rockford, Illinois; Joe (Rosie) Wolf of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter-in-law Mary Lou Wolf of Gainesville, Florida., 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Albert Bastyr of Austin, Minnesota, and numerous nieces and nephews.
