Clara Williams Frank was born April 9, 1876 on the Williams Homestead northeast of St. Ansgar, Iowa. She was baptized by Rev. John Olsen May 14, 1876 and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith October 5, 1890 at the church in St. Ansgar.
On May 31, 1903, she was united in marriage to Henry Frank of Carpenter, Iowa and to this union 3 children were born: Rufus and Donald, of near Carpenter and Donald Myron who died in infancy.
Mrs. Frank had been in poor health for a number of years and besides being under the care of local physicians had spent considerable time at Rochester, MN seeking medical aid. However, she did not seem to improve, but had been able to be up and around and as long as strength permitted, was active in her duties as a mother.
Mrs. Frank was a kind and loving wife and mother. She was a believer of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Deer Creek Church near Carpenter, IA.
She passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday March 29, 1931.
Besides her beloved husband and children, she leaves to mourn her death, her aged parents, Mr. & Mrs. Knut Williams of St. Ansgar; 2 grandchildren; 5 sisters: Mrs. Hattie Delaney and Mrs. Gena Palmer of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Marie Springer of Charles City, IA; Mrs. Minnie Hofland of New Richland, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Ida Gould of St. Ansgar, IA. One sister, Mina Williams having preceded her in death. She also leaves a host of friends who will deeply feel her loss.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, IA. On account of illness of her pastor, Olaf Langehough, his brother, Rev. O. M. Langehough took charge. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
