MRS. AUGUST PAGEL DIES SUNDAY - DIES AT HOME OF BROTHER HERE SUNDAY; FUNERAL HELD AT GRAFTON

Rites were conducted at Grafton yesterday for Mrs. August Pagel, 59, who died at the home of her brother, Theodore Tribbensee, here Sunday of diabetes. Last week Mrs. Pagel attended the funeral of a cousin and on the return trip she became ill and stopped at St. Ansgar to secure medical attention.

Carolina Augusta Tribbensee was born December 31, 1875 in Schwessin, Pommerania, Germany. At the age of 24, she came to the United States accompanied by her friend, Miss Prigandy. She made her home in Mitchell and later lived with an uncle in Wisconsin. In 1902 she returned to Iowa and on January 26, 1902 was married to August Pagel.

Her husband, 3 daughters: Louisa, Mattia & Erna and a grandchild Glenn Arlo, one brother here and 2 brothers and sisters in Germany survive.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. Rinold Hackbarth, daughter Ida & son Bob of Arlington, Wisconsin; Mrs. Esther Bender and daughter Betty Lou, of Madison, WI; Mr. & Mrs. Theodore Junge of Morrisonville, WI; and Mr & Mrs. Oscar Haupt of Poinette, Wis. They came Monday and are remaining a few days visiting friends.
