Funeral services for Frederick W. Schuttler, 57, of Grafton, Iowa, who died in Osage, Iowa, October 26, 1983, were held October 29 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Gary Panko officiating.

Frederick William Schuttler was born July 23, 1926 in Mitchell County, the son of Herman and Martha (Kroneman) Schuttler. He was baptized August 21, 1926 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township, Mitchell County. He attended the rural schools in Mitchell county. On May 18, 1941 he was confirmed at St. John's church. He attended one year of high school, after which he helped his father on the farm.

On April 9, 1950 he married Dorothy Diedrich at Emmanuel Lutheran church in Grafton. They moved to the Grafton area in 1956.

Mr. Schuttler was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Grafton; by three sons: Larry, Gary, and Gene, all of Grafton; by two sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Viola) Ahrens of Osage, and Mrs. Ortwin (Esther) Hollatz of Osage.

Burial was in the Grafton cemetery, with Rev. Panko in charge of committal services.
