Elsie E. Warren was born in the town of Stafford, Genesse County, New York State, Dec. 1, 1938.

When she was one year old her parents moved to the town of Oakfield in the same county. At the age of twelve, she was converted at the Oakfield Methodist Episcopal church and joined the church on probation. Six months later, she was received into full membership and has lived a consistent Christain life ever since.

She was educated at the Carry Collegiate Seminary at Oakfield, N.Y. On May 13, 1862, she was married to William Myrick and had her life been spared a little more than three months, she was hoping to celebrate her Golden Wedding.

In March 1876, they removed to Little Cedar, Mitchell County, Ia., where they have lived ever since. She had been in feeble health for many years and was finally stricken with an attack of pneumonia which resulted fatally. She passed away about 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31st. Her end was peace. Mrs. Myrick was the oldest of a family of six children, only two of whom are left, G. A. Warren and H. C. Warren, both of Minneapolis.

She is survived by her sorrowing husband, William Myrick; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Elliott, three grandchildren, Oren D. Elliott, Wilbur Clyde Elliott and Blanche E. Elliott, all of Little Cedar, and the two brothers, before mentioned.

Following a brief service at the house, funeral services were held at the Little Cedar Methodist Episcopal church, of which she had for so many years been a faithful member, at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2nd, conducted by her Pastor, Rev. C. S. Burnard. Interment was made in Little Cedar cemetary.

Little Cedar Methodist Episcopal church has lost an exemplary devoted member, our community has lost a kind neighbor and we all mourn with the breaved family who have our heartfelt sympathy.
