Helga Nemeth, 84, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, died on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, with Rev. John Moser officiating.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Helga was born on Feb. 23, 1922 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa to Karl and
Gena (Erickson) Miller. She married Emil Nemeth on Feb. 26, 1952 in Mitchell County.

Helga was self-employed as a day-care provider for 20 years, and enjoyed cooking, baking and visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Helga is survived by her children Carl and his wife Jill Nemeth of Phoenix, Ariz., Cindy and her husband Mike Plenge of Chatfield, Minn., John Nemeth Clarion, Iowa; one sister, Anna Pajer of Osage; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
