Mass of Christian Burial for Glen Walsh, 93, of Stacyville and formerly of Osage, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Rev. John Moser officiating.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Glen died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Glen was born December 30, 1912, on the family farm south of Stacyville, the son of James and Ida (Seggessenman) Walsh. He graduated from Little Cedar High School in 1931. Glen married Marie Salz on October 15, 1940, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. They farmed on the Walsh family farm until they retired in 1978 and moved to Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ivan Walsh.

Glen is survived by his wife, Marie Walsh of Stacyville; four daughters: Helen (Dennis) Stecher of Lime Springs, Jean (James) Knavel of Elkhorn, Wisc., Ann Walsh of Moline, Ill., and Nancy (Eddie) Cheung of Newbury Park, Calif.; four sons: Robert (Judy) Walsh of Rogers, Ark., Thomas (Dian) Walsh of Emmett, Kan., Dennis (Dianne) Walsh of Ankeny, and Richard (Rosemary) Walsh of Olathe, Kansas; a brother, Leonard Walsh of St. Paul, Minn.; 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
