Death of Geo. B. Lovejoy.
Mr Geo. B. Lovejoy accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. H. L. Wilson went to Chicago last week to see if he could not get relief from some physical troubles that destroy his comfort and threaten his life. They went to Hahneman Hospital so that he might have the best care and treatment. We regret to learn that after a through examination and careful diagnosis the hospital physicians and surgeons decided that nothing can be done.
A letter received Monday noon said they were coming home at once but a message came that day asking Mrs. Lovejoy to come to Chicago by first train. Alva accompanied his mother to Chicago Monday night.
On Tuesday morning a message was received announcing his death Monday evening. The sad mother and children returned yesterday with the remains. Mr. Lovejoy was a man of sterling character and a member of the Baptist church.
Born in Vermont about sixty-six years ago he came to Wisconsin for a while and then to this county settling in Rock Creek where he lived until a few years ago when he moved to this city to spend his declining years. There are five children, three boys and two girls to cheer and comfort their bereaved mother.
The funeral services will occur at the Baptist church Friday morning at 10:30 o’clock. Many friends at Rock Creek and Osage, where the deceased was held in highest esteem sympathize daily with the mourning family in their great sorrow.
