John M. Decker
Died At Rochester

John M. Decker, 73, one of the most highly esteemed residents of the Little Cedar vicinity, died this morning at the Colonial hospital at Rochester, where he had been since Thanksgiving.

He had been in poor health for several years.

He is survived by his widow, and by his son, Ross, who operates a general store in Litte Cedar.

Held at Little Cedar

LITTLE CEDAR, IOWA Jan. 6 - Funeral services for John M. Decker, a farmer of this vicinity, were held at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon with the Rev. H. M. Tiffany officiating. He died at the Colonial hospital, Rochester, Minnesota, where be was taken for treatment two weeks ago.

Mr. Decker was born near Stacyville, September 4, 1862. He was married to Helen McPhail on August 24, 1887.

One daughter, Verna Irene, preceded him in death.

He leaves his wife; one son, Ross; one granddaughter of Little Cedar; four sisters; and two brothers, Mrs. George Schultz, Mrs. Frank Gerbig, Mrs. John May, and Mrs. Charles Gerbig, of Stacyville, Jacob Decker, Canada, and Adam Decker of Stacyville.
