A distressing tragedy is recorded in a recent issue of the Minneapolis Journal, in which Herbert Kent, 8 years old, accidently shot and killed his 2-year old cousin, Marshal Stacy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur P. Stacy.
Herbert secured possession of a revolver from his father's grip, and pointing it at his little playmate, fired. The ball entered Marshal's forehead and he was found a few minutes later lying in a pool of blood, dead. Young Kent did not fully realize what he had done and it was some time before he could relate what had happened. The shooting took place at the Kent home, 1710 Portland avenue. Mr. Stacy is a member of the firm of E. P. Stacy & Sons and Mr. Kent is employed by the firm. Both families are prostrated by the horrible affair.
The Stacy's are well known here in Mitchell county, having been for years residents of Mitchell.
