Kenneth Eugene Weipert passed away peacefully April 13, 2024 in Des Moines, Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at Simplify Cremations and Funerals Chapel, 4821 SW 9th Street in Des Moines. A visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. and burial at IA Veterans Cemetery will follow the funeral service.
Kenneth was born to Edmund and Flavia (Sandray) Weipert on April 21, 1951 in Osage, Iowa. He was the first baby born at the Osage Hospital.
Kenneth was honorably discharged from the Army. He spent many years traveling with the carnival, was a ditch digger in Arkansas, owned a roofing company in Iowa and in later years recycled metal. Kenneth enjoyed country music and playing pool. He was a good carpenter and loved playing bingo.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Sue; son, Jason and brother, Richard. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Jane, Shirley, Patricia, Betty, and Virginia; and brothers, Arthur, James, David, and Raymond. He will be missed by many family and friends.
