Mr. Frank Forbes received a telegram last Saturday evening from Diana, Sanborn county, Dakota, which contained the startling intelligence that his sister, Hattie, who was visiting there with Mr. Fred Drown and family, had died that morning.
Mr. Forbes had, only a day or two previous, received a letter from her in which she stated that she would soon return home.
Mr. Forbes departed Sunday for the place of her death and will reach Lyle with the remains this afternoon, from which place they wil be taken to Stacyville for interment. The funeral discourse will be delivered by the Rev. A.A. Thayer, of Osage, to-morrow afternoon.

Note: she's buried in the Stacyville (aka Penneyville) cemetery
