We learn with sorrow of the death of John F. Shoger which occurred at his home in Rock Creek last Friday evening at six o'clock. He was one of the early settlers in that section, having come from Wisconsin with his parents some eighteen years ago. By industry and economy, he had secured a fine farm, and added wealth to his property. He was a good citizen, highly esteemed by his neighbors and acquaintances. He leaves a wife and child to lament his death. He was about thirty-eight years old. His funeral took place from the Norwegian church on Monday, and his remains were deposited in the cemetery adjoining.
