Rosella Margaret Brown, 99, died June 4, 2021 at Stacyville Community Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held on June 8, 2021 at Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. A private burial will take place at St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Rosella was born on a farm in rural Rose Creek, MN to Edward and Frances (Haffner) Schammel on September 23, 1921. She attended high school in Rose Creek. Prior to marriage she worked at Hormel.

Rosella married Arthur Brown on November 13, 1945. To this union 6 children were born. For 23 years they resided in Johnsburg, and farmed 20 plus years with her husband. They moved to St. Ansgar in 1968.

Rosella enjoyed playing cards. She was in a 500 Card Club, dancing, was a master at 1000 piece puzzles, watching her beloved Minnesota Twins and attending games. She was an avid gardener and loved to preserve fruits of her labor.

Rosella was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She attended many of her children and grandchildren's school and sporting events.

Rosella is survived by her children, Beverly (John) Greeley, Norma Brown, Marlys (Charlie) Nannenga, Diane (Tom) Murphy, Sheila (Jan) Klapperich and Daryl (Rosanne) Brown; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, siblings, Bernard Schammel, Marie Jax, Leona Emanuel and Loretta Nelson.
