Harry Gray Killed by Lightning.
Harry Gray, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gray, residing six miles east of Orchard, was struck by a lightning bolt in the storm of Saturday afternoon and instantly killed. The fatality occurred about 4 o'clock on the farm of Clifford Balsley, where the young man was employed. He had been working in the field with a team and wagon and had started for the house when the bolt struck him and knocked him the full length of the wagon. Both horses were stunned so that they did not rise for nearly an hour.
The young man was alone when the accident occurred. He was not discovered until half an hour after the fatal bolt had struck him. His tragic death came as a terrible shock to his parents and to his many friends in East and West Lincoln. The Osage News.
