—Wm. Marr, of Riceville, was killed last Thursday by the discharge of a shot gun in his own hands. He had gone into the field to shoot a dog, he said, which was annoying his cattle, but whether it was a case of accident or suicide is not known. He was a man of wealth and there was no known cause for suspecting suicide.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1829 and died March 29, 1899. He is buried in St. Peters Cemetery in New Haven.
