Brian Carlson, age 67, of Stacyville, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville with Pastor Lance Kittleson officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Brian Carlson.

Brian was born August 12, 1952, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the son of Ronald and Evelyn (Goskeson) Carlson. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1971. On April 22, 1972, Brian married Marcia Bartz at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. They lived in Albert Lea for a short time, and then made their home in Stacyville. Brian worked for Adams Plumbing and Heating in Osage. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville. He enjoyed going up north to the lake, trips to the casino, watching movies, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Brian is survived by his children, Chris (Julie) Carlson of Ankeny, Craig (Cindy) Carlson of Mason City, and Michael (Stacey) Carlson of Des Moines; grandchildren, Kristen, Jared and Macy Carlson, and Chloe, Natalie and Landon Carlson; his mother, Evelyn Carlson; siblings, Julie (Alan) Evenson, Marcia (Jerry) Evenson, Nancy (Greg) Emery and Robert (Beth) Carlson.

He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Marcia in 2016.
